MATURE DRIVERS
At All Abilities Driving Education, we specialise in evaluating mature drivers to ensure you’re maintaining safe driving practices on the road.
As you get older, your ability to drive can be affected by changes to how you process information, your vision and your mobility.
Age affects us all differently and while there isn’t a set age where all drivers become unable to drive, age related health conditions and changing medical conditions can impact how you drive.
Regular driver evaluations and medical assessments are vital in ensuring the safety of yourself and other road users. We can help you to update your skills and road rules knowledge and maintain safe driving mobility as you get older to help prevent the risk of an accident.
We also provide learner driver lessons for adults and mature age immigrants.
Evaluations for drivers over 75
We work with health professionals across the Sunshine Coast to provide driver evaluations for mature drivers over 75, to retain their license due to age or infirmity.
We evaluate on-road performance and knowledge of road rules and provide a full report to your health professional.
Our friendly instructor, Liza Burgess is patient and constructive and strives to make our lessons and evaluations an enjoyable and stress-free experience. Liza has been instructing drivers for over 20 years and is ranked in Queensland’s Top 5 Driving Instructors.
Covering all areas of the Sunshine Coast across four transport departments, we’re sure to be near you and will pick you up from home or work – wherever is most convenient for you.
Medical certificates for drivers over 75
All Queensland drivers over the age of 75 must carry a current Medical Certificate for Motor Vehicle Driver form at all times when driving and comply with any stated conditions. If you don’t, you can be fined and/or your insurance may become null and void.
Your Medical Certificate must be renewed every 12 months and you may be required to undergo a driving evaluation with a driving instructor.
